My Work
As my career in the airline industry began at age 20, so did my awareness of those less fortunate. My travels abroad brought about the recognition that the world was full of sorrow. This realization propelled me to do what I could, when I could; whether that was in the form of giving, or to offer encouragement and comfort.
I was blessed with the privilege of sponsoring young girls in foreign countries through the years. What a joy to receive their letters of correspondence and learn about their cultures and lifestyle.
This compassion has evolved into my new book God Gets Dirty, Consolation In the Midst of Calamity, released on July 7, 2023. Books can be purchased on amazon.com, Barnes and Noble as well as other sites. heldbyhim is a platform to share my story. We all face hardships and when we know we’re not alone it brings refreshment to our weary souls.
It’s my hope I can somehow be of use by God in contributing hopefulness to the broken and downtrodden.
My Community
This site is meant to be a community of sharing and encouragement. Stories of others who have endured hardships and tell of how God's redeeming power has brought them through will be posted on a gradual basis, eventually building a chronicle of reading.
